Teaching design is an indispensable key link in a teacher's teaching process, and whether the teaching design is successful or not is the decisive factor and a pre-condition for a good class. Therefore, when a teacher prepares for a class, he can give the class his comprehensive consideration and carefully think over and arrange his teaching process, thinking what to teach, why to teach, how to teach and the teaching aims, is the important pledge to improve teaching.Teaching design, which is founded on psychology, pedagogy and other science related to teaching, is a process that, with scientific and systematic Methods, analyze teaching problem, design teaching plans, transform teaching theories into teaching skills and make teaching a science. Teaching design is to change learning theories and teaching theories into practice of planning teaching aims, teaching contents, teaching methods, teaching tragedies and teaching assessing, and to set up the systematic process and programmed of teaching and learning. And the basic purpose of setting up the system is to promote learners.Function is a key chapter in senior math, a main branch running through senior math's learning and also basic knowledge for higher mathematics, so learning function well has a high position. In addition, Function covers large percent of senior math's and it is closed related to equality, inequality, and sequence of number. Etc. and it has great effect on them. As a result, it is really important to strengthen the study of teaching function, especially the first chapter "function".Using scientific methods to guide the teaching design of function, the teacher can have a general plan not only on the whole chapter but also on each unit and each class. With clear teaching aims, the teacher can arrange teaching contents conditions and choose proper teaching methods and media .At the beginning of teaching, the teacher set up circumstances so that the students fed it necessary to learn the concept of function again, to sun up the general characters of function, and to understand that function is widely used in our life. During the process of teaching, if the teacher can connect all the knowledge, use proper methods, both the teacher and the students will enjoy the process, and the result wills definitely the good.Through the investigation into the students' learning function. I found that the students know the concepts and the characters of function well, that the students can conscientiously use function methods to deal with in practice, and to solve equality, inequality, sequence of number relate to function. This is due to scientific teaching design and combination of theories and practice.
