Understanding the nature of science is one of the core components of scientific literacy and an important part of science education.As an effective way to enhance students' understanding of the nature of science,chemistry teaching plays an important role in the process of achieving the goal of science education.This paper summarizes the research status of the nature of science,and extracts its connotation from the development process of the essence of science.On this basis,it summarizes the teaching strategies to promote students' understanding of the nature of science,and conducts the teaching design of "organic compounds" based on the nature of science.At the same time,Using the quasi-experimental research method,taking the students of the two ordinary classes in the first grade of ZhangXian Y Middle School as the research object,and using the high school students' scientific nature view questionnaire to test the status of the high school students' understanding of the nature of science.By analyzing the pre-test data,The students in the experimental and control classes have a similar understanding of the nature of science.But it is concluded that students have different levels of understanding of the seven aspects of the nature of science,among which the scientific knowledge is based on experience,the scientific knowledge is imaginative and creative,and the scientific knowledge is tentative.The level of understanding in all aspects is relatively high.On this basis,the teaching based on the nature of science is implemented in the experimental class,and the regular teaching is implemented in the control class.After the end of the teaching experiment,the conclusion is drawn from the analysis of the post-test data: the teaching of "organic compounds" based on the nature of science enables students to construct scientific knowledge from the observation to the process of inference,to know the subjectivity of the generation of scientific knowledge,and to learn that the scientific knowledge has a temporary.The degree of understanding of these three aspects has been significantly improved,There is also a slight improvement in the understanding of scientific knowledge based on experience,the imagination and creativity of scientific knowledge,and the root of scientific knowledge in social and cultural contexts.The understandingof the functions of scientific theories and laws and the relationship between them Change is not obvious;and at the same time,the academic performance of high-segment students has been significantly promoted.Research indicates the teaching of "organic compounds" based on the nature of science can not only helpful for students to understand the nature of science,but also improve students' academic performance.For front-line teachers,only when they have a certain understanding of the nature of science can they make explicit explanation of the nature of science in the teaching process,thus enhancing students' understanding of the nature of science.
