The Essentialism was found by Bageley in 20th 1930's . Its some theories were carrying on the development and the consummation unceasingly. for about a long century,.The Essentialism has rised the reform tides in US now and then.In 50's, Essentialism had experienced a revival which the representors are Arthur Bestor Mortimer Smith,James B Conant.Then in the 70's, the Neo-Essentiaolism had rised the new reform tide in US.Although experienced the background is different, but the Neo-Essentiaolism still inherited and developed the essential theories of the Essentialism, therefore.At the same time,the government of America has anounce a lot of educational reforms,such as"Nation is in risk""2061 project""NO Children Was Left"and so on. By analysing these reforms, we might see the basic concepts of Neo-Essentiaolism.While, our country is also carrying on the new turn of elementary education reform,such as the fields of the curriculum function, the structure, the content, the background, appraises and management , all the aspects refer to the significant innovation and the breakthrough,.The reform take the curriculum as the core which influence entire education domain.It incluses the value transformation,curriculum idea, goal, method, management, appraisal. The reform has foreword in the whole nation. The new curriculum reform has obtained arrogant results. But we also find some problems which appeared in the practice aspect which need the earnest rationally ponder. Thus we conduct the thorough research regarding the this developed country American education reform to give us some enlightenments, which can urges our education reform to the deeper level development, and effectively enhances education quality of our country .The main frame is:Introduction reviews development course of the Essentialism,including the newly established times in1930s and the revivals in 1950s; In the first chapter introduces the reason of Neo-Essentialism emerging ; Second chapter elaborated the factor principles of Neo-Essentialism in the American elementary education reform as basic position, from the curriculum, the teaching as well as appraise,three aspects carry on the system elaboration; Third chapter is the enlightenment of Neo-Essentialism to our country's elementary education reform ; Last the part is a conclusion.
