This paper analyse the knowledge education views of American Contemporary Essentialism by applying method of literature review from introducing the main points of the chief representative personages based on the previous research, and to explore its revelation to our country's educational reform nowadays.This paper includes four parts.The first part: Introduction. This part introduce briefly about the reasons why I choose this theme, the present research status and applied methods.The second part: American Contemporary Essentialism's establishment and development. This part is the brief introduction of the background, the chief representative personages and the main point of Essentialism's every development stage.The third part: Knowledge Education view. This is the main part of this paper. First, it's the definition of Knowledge and Knowledge Education View. Then, it's discourse of the American Contemporary Essentialism's value view, curriculum theory, conception of learning, teaching view and evaluation view, based on the concept analysis of Knowledge Education View.The fourth part: Evaluation an Revelation. First, it's the evaluation of American Contemporary Essentialism. Then, it's the revelation to our country's educational reform nowadays.
