It is the core task of Chinese language teaching at secondary technical schools to develop students' capability to apply the language. Good oral-expression ability has become one of the key conditions to determine the employment, existence and development as well the attainment of the life goals of the students at secondary technical schools, who will be the main force in service, sale and production industries in the future. But over a long period of time, the Chinese language teaching at Fuzhou secondary technical schools has followed the old mode of "standards of subjects, knowledge and teachers " of the general education, which disjoints students' real ability with their future career development and has resulted in a considerable number of students missing the opportunity for employment and development because of their poor spoken Chinese ability.In order to uderstand and change inefficient status quo of the Chinese language teaching at Fuzhou secondary technical schools, the author has conducted a sample questionnaire survey of the ability of spoken Chinese among the students at Fuzhou secondary technical schools, and talked with the parents of part of the students, the HR staff of the enterprises and the personnel of the vocational guidance centers of the schools. And on the basis of close analysis of the cause leading to the students' poor spoken Chinese ability at Fuzhou secondary technical schools, I hereby put forward the solutionsThe paper holds that Chinese lauguage teaching at secondary technical schools shoud base itself upon the education objective of serving the students' vocational ability in their future posts, aim at the characteristics of the students of secondary technical schools and the regional problems in the Chinese language learning in Fuzhou, and make a thorough, multidimensional study of the spoken Chinese language training at Fuzhou secondary technical schools. The paper expounds the theme from seven aspects, with the stress laid on studies of the determination of the fundamental principles that ought to be stuck to in the spoken Chinese language training at secondary technical schools, the construction of the spoken Chinese textbooks of the school edition, how to improve the classroom teaching forms for spoken Chinese training, the 3-D construction of the contents and methods of the spoken Chinese training, and how to reform the test and appraisal means, etc, in the hope of boosting the reform and development in the spoken Chinese language training at Fuzhou secondary technical schools.
