The Research Made In A Medical University Of Anhui Province On The Present Situation, Causes And Preventive Measures Of University Students' Cheating In The Exams

Purpose: University students' cheating in the exams has a trend of complexity and severity, which greatly challenges the honesty, fairness and quality of higher education. This phenomenon has received the widespread attention and become a social problem. This research made in a medical university of Anhui Province investigated the exam cheating situation among the students and teaching staff so as to probe into the causes of students' cheating, put forward some preventive measures directed against it and serve the reform and development of higher education teaching and management.Approach: The research adopted the intersecting approach, surveying the chosen samples by questionnaire. 1155 questionnaire tables are sent out and 1140 are taken back, accounting for 98.7 percent. Among them 1129 are valid, accounting for 99.0 percent. The date collected was stored and corrected by EPI 6.0 and processed by using the software SPSS 11.0. The main statistical methods include descriptive analysis, random—access design difference analysis and card catalog testing.Result: The findings are following: (1)Both students and teaching staff have a uniform agreement about universality of the university students' cheating in the exams, but there is remarkable difference in recognizing the nature of cheating behavior.
