School age students' healthiness and nutrition status is one of the importance guideline in which weigh society economy development and advancement degree. Just in growth moment, it is osculate that a correlation between healthiness and nutrition status and the living quality in the future. With the rapid happiness of civilization and industrialization, because of the economy and civilization imbalance with city and town, lead to that they differ in better degree kinds of students in our country than 15 years ago. The problem is becoming more and more outstanding especially in poor areas. In present dissertation, experimental studies of the nutrition situation of students from 10 to 15 years old of the 3501 students in three counties in underdeveloped area from September to October in 2003.by Broca formula which WHO recommended. Including an assessment of the foods eaten by means of 24-hour recall for three consecutive days. At the same time, To investigate the dietary behavior of primary and secondary school students and their parental influencing factors, in order to provide basic information for developing effective nutrition education program.The rate of normal nutrition was 53.24%, the rates of overweight and obesity was 6.43% and 3.17%; the rate of undernutrition was 37.17%. There was no difference between town and countryside in undernutrition rate. However, the rate of undernutrition of girl students was higher than boys' (x2=12.91, P<0.001). The low peak of normal nutrition rate appeared at the age of 12 and 15; It has been better with the age increasing. The students in underdeveloped area have high percent of malnutrition, which has become a main block to their health and growth. Including an assessment of the foods eaten by means of 24-hour recall for three consecutive days, 93.6% of normal protein intakes were male students on diet consisting vs. 79.1% were female students.
