Whether technology should be used in schools is no longer the issue in education. Instead, the current emphasis is ensuring that technology is used effectively to create new opportunities for learning and to promote student achievement. New Junior English, which is part of the Middle School reform project, has just been pushed into the hands of teachers and students. How to integrate educational technology into the new curriculum and how to apply it effectively to classroom teaching are puzzle questions to teachers. Based on the theories and principles of humanistic psychology and cognitive psychology, the thesis, both in theory and in practice, aims to find the more effective application of modern educational technology to Junior English teaching.We insist that language learning is a very sophisticated cognitive and psychological process, technology itself has no influence over the students' cognitive process. The effectiveness of technology application is to help teachers develop models of Junior English teaching and learning that facilitate students' cognition and satisfy their feeling.With synthetic and analytic approaches employed, directed by the theories and principles of humanistic psychology and cognitive psychology, the thesis attempts to investigate the implementation of technology application to Junior English teaching and learning thoroughly, which includes the current reform for effective technology application in schools and the effects of various factors on technology application to classroom teaching and the teaching models of technologically-integrated New Junior English.
