Chinese education in Second Vocational Technical Schools (SVTS) can't meet the need of the development of times for talent and the need of long-life development of its students ,which is closely with the backwardness of Chinese textbook. So it is urgent for us to reform. Chinese Textbook in SVTS are compiled and used flexibly because they are short of integrate management and powerful supervision. There are so many kinds of Chinese textbook with different qualities in SVTS, which are greatly influenced by utility. So it is necessary to provide a system of quality evaluation. On the base of studying the function of Chinese textbook and characteristics of Chinese education in SVTS, this essay tries to construct criteria of quality evaluation of Chinese textbooks in SVTS. These criteria are put forward according to general rules of educational psychology, natures and objectives of secondary vocational education , natures and pedagogic rules of Chinese. Social needs for students in SVTS and real situations of students' development in SVTS. They advocate evaluating Chinese textbook of SVTS from four aspects: educational ideas; their objectives; their content organization and presentation; and their validity. From the perspective of practice, the criteria are applied to evaluating present Chinese textbook in SVTS. Some suggestions are given about their compilation ideas, their objective , their content and structure and their standards. By constructing a system of criteria of quality evaluation of Chinese textbook in SVTS, this essay aims to promote the reform of Chinese textbook and the development of the function of Chinese textbook and the development of the function of Chinese textbook in SVTS.
