The self-concept, an individual's perception of one's every aspect, is a multi-dimension, multi-level structure with an appraising function, which can separate the individual from others. By means of the young student self-worth meter, the research inspected 366 Mongolian nationality university students to find out the basic characteristics of their self-worth development, and probed into the influence of the parents'upbringing pattern, of the teacher-student relationship, of the companion relationship, and of the campus environment, on the self-concept of Mongolian nationality university students. The conclusion is: 1. The development level of Mongolian nationality university students'self-worth is generally high in every domain, and the self-concept is positive. 2. In general, the self-worth of Mongolian nationality male university students is higher than that of the female university students. And the male students'self-worth in the domains of the interpersonal relationship, physiology and appearance is remarkably higher than the female students. 3. According to different academic grades, the self-worth of Mongolian nationality university students exhibits distinctive characteristics. On the whole, the self-worth level of the freshman and sophomore increases with grade advancing; that of the junior basically decreases; and that of the senior shows the different development tendency in the subdivisions. The third year is the crucial moment when an individual explores the self once again and relocates the self. 4. The self-worth level of Mongolian nationality science university students is nearly higher in every domain than that of the liberal arts university students, and has achieved the significance level in certain domains. 5. The self-worth of Mongolian nationality university students has no remarkable ecological culture difference. The modern culture tends to blend together, which has caused the self-concept of Mongolian nationality university students residing in different ecological culture areas to display more similarities. 6. The parents'upbringing pattern has the impact on the self-concept development of Mongolian nationality university students, which cannot be neglected. Moreover, different patterns have the different influence on the self-worth in different domains. 7. The development of the good self-concept and positive self-worth can be rationally forecast in terms of the harmonious teacher-student relationship and companion relationship in the elementary school, junior and senior high school. 8. The reciprocal help and support among Mongolian nationality university students and their teachers, the definite and reasonabledevelopment objective provided by the university, and the cultural atmosphere in which the students enjoy free expression and performance, bear high relevance to the development of self-concept and the experience of higher self-worth.
