English is a culturally fundamental course for various majors in secondary vocational school. The English curriculum objectives for secondary vocational school can not suit the current situations due to various factors. Therefore, some measures must be taken to deliberate and readjust them. The uniqueness of English curriculum objectives for secondary vocational school focuses on the flexible and organic combination of fundamental, practical and occupational characteristics. English curriculum objectives for secondary vocational school should be directed to the facilitation of students' basic comprehensive language competence, the improvement of their literacy and the fostering of talents and quality for their future occupation. After dealing with the existing problems, the uniqueness, the positioning of English curriculum objectives for secondary vocational school, The dissertation discusses the structure and content of the English curriculum from the following three dimensions, namely, knowledge and skill objectives, study procedure and method objectives, objectives for value cultivation, psychological and emotional development. At the end of this thesis various strategies are suggested to accomplish these English curriculum objectives.
