Language learning can't exist without the particular cultural context. As a language curriculum, the English course content, the purpose of educating and teaching activities are inseparable from the cultural perspective when valuing English teaching. Various reform incident occurred in the early 21 century in the field of English courses are also tend to one point, fully exploiting the humanities of English curriculum. It advocates culture teaching in language teaching process and positions value and significance of English teaching from the perspective of cultural education. However, we pay more emphasis on the language property when it comes to English teaching while ignoring the cultural role in promoting the teaching and the importance of language learning for students'social and cultural ability. Therefore, in the multicultural background, we need to reflect English curriculum objectives from a cultural standpoint, which are of great significance for the teaching of English and English learners.Therefore, this article takes the English curriculum objectives as research target. On the overview of the new requirements proposed by curriculum objectives, it discusses on the change of the standard curriculum, the complete of educational purposes and adaptation of curriculum content.Then a detailed analysis of the English teachers in cultural awareness and the cultural objectives design are carried out through questionnaires and interviews, aiming to analyzing of the problems and causes of English cultural objectives design. Finally, it makes some improved recommendations from two major elements of education,that is curriculum and teacher.The thesis is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction, including the selected topics reason, research significance, research overview about English culture teaching, curriculum goals and cultural awareness of English teachers and research ideas and methods. The second part is the theory and the basic concepts definition, mainly includes culture teaching philosophy and cultural definition. First, it combs the meaning of culture and cultural education in the field of English courses; secondly, it analyzes of the historical process of how English curriculum highlight the cultural teaching objective; Finally, defining the connotation of cultural objectives on the basis of various academics and English curriculum standards outlined cultural objectives. The third part is a survey on the status of cultural objectives design and problem analysis.This study investigates English teachers from two high middle schools and selects part of the teaching design as analyzed material using questionnaires and interviews. The content includes analysis of cultural objectives design in curriculum standards, cultural content in experimental textbooks and teachers' cultural awareness and cultural objectives capability, perspectiving cultural educational target from concrete English teaching design. The fourth part is to analyze the problems of cultural objects design and related causes. This includes two aspects, one is from cultural objectives design perspective; Another is from the perspective of teachers'design capabilities in cultural objectives. The last part is conclusion. This part tries to put forward improvement measures about how to design the cultural objectives reasonably from the several aspects:English courses, teachers as well as another three aspects, including in English curriculum standard, cultural material and class cultural situation, including that teachers should set up the correct teaching goal concept and study the basic theoretical knowledge; They should strengthen the consciousness of curriculum learning and deepen the understanding of the English curriculum nature. In terms of culture, their culture teaching concept should be improved and teachers need to build a comprehensive cultural target system; Reviewing the connotation of "the culture" to establish a scientific, accurate cultural viewpoint; To raise their cultural processing ability so that they can restructure and optimizer cultural theme of textbooks.
