A Study On Cost-compensation Of Higher Education In America

In recent years, the reasonable cost-compensation of higher education becomes a hot issue in the field of higher education theories and practices. A reasonable higher education cost-compensation plays an important role in effectively solving the problem of the shortage of financial resources in higher education, optimizing the resources allocation in high education field, improving the effectiveness of the investment in high education and promoting the equality in high education. In the context of knowledge-based economy and the shortage of finance resources in higher education, there is a successful theoretic exploration and practical experiment in the cost-compensation of higher education in U.S.. The study is based on the fundamental theory of educational economics and educational sociology, and adopts the countries-based method in comparative education research and the analysis mode of structure-function in educational sociology research.. Using documents method and the resources on the internet, this article systemicly studies the influencing facts, subjects, contents, modes, effectiveness and exiting problems in the cost-compensation of higher education in U.S., defines the cost-compensation of higher education, summarizes the characteristics of the cost-compensation of higher education, and explores the inevitability, requirement and reasonableness of the cost-compensation of higher education in U.S.. Then according to the status and exiting problems of the higher education cost-compensation in our country, draw some references from the higher education cost-compensation in U.S..
