Starting in the sixties of the 20th century in the US, prospering from the 70s to the 80s in Occident, the study of teacher professional development regarded the teacher occupation as a profession. A teacher gains the professional status like doctors, lawyers through raising one' s own quality and ability. Teacher' s professional development is the objective request by the demand of the social economy, cultural and modern educational development. And it needs the educational administrative department and teachers make the long-term joint efforts to realize its probability. The research of teacher' s professional development has promoted the reform of teacher education and the reform of teacher education helps to bring about an advance in teacher' s professional development vice versa.Since entering 1990s, with the aggravation of competition in international economy and in the science and technology, the expansion of a new round of the current basic education curriculum reform people puts forward a new higher request to teacher' s quality. To improve teacher' s quality; to promote the teacher professional development as well as to reform teacher education become an inevitable choice in our country.Through the aspect of the teacher professional development as well as the historical development, this thesis has reviewed the historical vicissitudes of the teacher education of our country, and comb the information of the 90s in the 20th century from several respects, such as idea, policy, system, etc. in order to benefits the teacher education reform of our country.
