With the further development of educational reform research, teacher professional development is certainly becoming the main trend of current international educational research, attracting experts and learners in all walks of society. Stepping into 1990s, teacher's professional development has become an important task of world educational reform and development. Nowadays, there are three points for teacher's professional development: first, it is the process of teacher's professional growth; second, it is the process that promotes teacher's professional growth; third, it is the unification of the two processes. With the widespread development of its research, the approach of teacher's professional development receives the emphasis in educational field, thus its effective approaches like action research, reflection, educational relation and so on are being more and more concerned. However, Bullough put forward a new trend for it in view of later modernism education thought:"the nature of teacher's development is to act on his own. Development is a process in which teachers continually surpass themselves, a process continually realizing themselves, and a process in which teachers, as the subject, construct self-consciously, initiatively, actively and continuously."Ye Lan also put forth:"teacher's self-renovation as the trend of teacher's professional development."This view that emphasizes teachers as the subject is the new trend of teacher's professional development.In the philosophical vision of human as the subject, this article philosophically bases teacher's professional development on such teacher's characteristics as subject, self-consciousness, activeness and so on, and puts forward that teacher's professional development should orient to teacher's self-development. It aims at studying the new connotation of teachers'development of acting on their own. Meanwhile, beginning with the philosophical vision of human as subject, it discusses teachers'position in professional development, self-developing consciousness and power, measures of teachers'professional development of acting on their own and so on, in order to study teachers'development of acting on their own in the field of teacher's professional development. Trying to widen the vision, enriching the connotation of teacher's professional development, promoting teachers'subject position in education, raising their self-consciousness in participating educational reform and self-development, our aim is to further study teachers'professional development of acting on their own.
