The development of teachers' profession is a process wherein teachers at all levels receive constant input of new knowledge to improve professional capabilities. To be a mature professional, teachers are required to engage themselves in constant learning and researching to develop the profession and improve themselves. Teachers' education institutions, as the cradle for teachers' education, not only undertake the fundamental project of teachers' education, but also the development of teachers' profession in terms of speed, scope and effectiveness. As a result, how to deepen the reform of teachers' education courses in order to improve the quality of education institutions becomes a key issue in current education of teachers. According to societal demands for professionals and the development of teaching profession adjusted to the reform of primary and secondary education, current reform of teachers' education courses has to be based on the teaching profession for a number of reasons. Firstly, a scientific curriculum is a guarantee for the training of professionals. Secondly, course reformation is a natural demand for the development of the teaching profession. Thirdly, current curriculum has not proved effective enough.After analyzing the connotations of the development of the teaching profession, the thesis not only defines the concept but also maintains that its connotations should include structures of professional knowledge, professional competence and professional consciousness. Working from full awareness of the current problems from misconception of the course, an overloaded curriculum of little variety to insufficient attention to practical courses, the thesis still put forward that course reform has to foreground features of current time in accordance with "Five Commands" so as to reconstruct the course demands, reform the course content, optimize the system of theoretical courses for the eventual goals of improving the professional consciousness and enhancing practical skills, renovate course application methods, and reform the course evaluation mode among its various aims.
