Construction Of Learning Community In School: Ideas And Strategies

This paper mainly emphasizes the theory about learning community and its constructing strategies. It includes five chapters. The first chapter gives the concept of learning community and the background of learning community. Learning is the key word here and we consider the learning community as a practicing community.The second chapter explores the theory base of learning community. The school growing phases indicates that learning community is the goal of school development. Learning organization theory is the source of learning community. Then this paper emphasizes the curriculum theory of postmodernism and constructivist.The third chapter discusses the types of learning community and its constructing strategies, it mainly includes governor's community, teachers teaching community, student learning community and learning community by Internet. They constitute the atmosphere and organization of learning community.The fourth chapter introduces three cases from three countries. One is about a school in America New York establishing learning community; Another is about s about a school in France establishing r learning community by subject learning .The last case is about a school in Finland established learning community in students managing.To compare is to be used for reference. Consequently, the last chapter emphasizes the revelation of the theories that we talked above for our education with it. It is the ultimate goal of this paper.
