Researching study is the common studying action in the model high-schools of our country. The author believes in this article that the researching way is not only a way of studying, it does not mean the simple repeat of the process of students' studying or experiencing, either. Its purpose is not only making the student learn or experience a kind of researching way, or master the knowledges known by human beings. It is the security of training the innovational, comprehensive and highly competent talents; It is the human's living way. Education should make the student researcher, or make the student work, think and communicate in the studying process.This article made an introduction study about the concept of researching study, the background of the theory's putting forward, the effect to the researching study of geography that the modem studying theories caused, the practice of the geographic researching study in our country, and the key point of geographic researching study-selecting the theme and estimating scientifically, the geographic researching study and the innovation of geography lessons, meanwhile the article make a qualitative research with evidences about the application of the way of researching study in the geographic class in the model school of Gansu province. In this article some scientific researching ways are used, they are the means of collecting material, visiting the individuals, comparing analysis, illustration and comprehensive analysis.Through the study with evidences, the author believes that the geographic researching study in the middle school nowadays should be a comprehensive studying way that would embody the thought and demand of quality education. It should be fulfilled in the whole process of the teaching action. The Gansu province locates in the backland of china, is the under-developed region with many minorities, the fundamental education is dropped behind. The teaching conditions, the pattern of administration in school, the environment, in the middle school of Gansu Province is very different, execution of researching study is also various, there are some subjective and objective factors that would disbenefit the execution of researching study smoothly. So it is necessary for every school to apply the way of researching study differently just according their own condition, to make the class arrangement free and flexible, to refuse the doctrinarism. This will make every place and school form their own features, accumulate the experiences, promote the school's development according to their real situations.
