In order to guarantee educational justice and fairness, and lasting political stability of society, the national and local government departments have kept on promulgating policies and regulations that guarantee the right of migrant workers' offspring to education. All this has contributed to gradual improvement of conditions for migrant workers to receive education.Nevertheless, due to the influence of the living background, family environment, and academic learning experience in teaching practices, the learning habits of migrant workers' offspring have been found with serious problems. As a comprehensive subject, geography requires good learning habits, which is an important guarantee to learn geography and develop relevant abilities well. Therefore, this paper aims at carrying out a survey of the geography learning habits of migrant workers' offspring, analyzing the potential influencing factors, and finally putting forward countermeasures for development of favorable geography learning habits among students. On the basis of literature analysis and individual interview,a questionnaire on middle school students' geography learning habits is designed. The data analysis Excel and the statistical software SPSS are used to summarize and analyze the survey results.Besides, the classroom observation and interview of teachers are carried out as a supplementation to analyze the middle school geography learning status of migrant workers' offspring and the influencing factors.Statistical results reveal that migrant workers' children perform well in the following geography learning habits, including preparing lessons before class, reviewing lessons after class, actively answering questions raised in class, putting geographical knowledge into practice, observing and thinking, taking notes, doing assignments, interpreting and memorizing geographic drawings. But their performance is on the whole far behind that of local students. The factors influencing middle school geography learning habits of migrant workers' offspring are analyzed, including both internal individual factors, such as students' lack of the learning interest and motivation, lack of the basic geography knowledge, and poor continuity of education, and external environmental factors, such as inadequate input of parents in geography, inadequate intimacy between teachers and students, lack of necessary learning facilities at school, weak faculty resources, and peer influence.Based on the above analysis, geography learning habits of migrant workers' offspring require a joint development mode with parents playing the dominant role, and family and school cooperating with each other.Teachers should fully dig the unique advantages of migrant workers' offspring, increase the intimacy between teachers and students, formulate a complete assessment system, and improve the geography classroom teaching. As to parents, they should increase their educational input in their offspring's geography learning. Finally, schools should enrich their teaching resources and geography faculty team, and give full play to their role in moral education. At the same time, the home-school cooperation should be strengthened, with school providing more training for parents and parents actively collaborating with school education.
