The twenty-first century witnesses the entry of human beings into an era of science and technology flourishing as well as economy developing at a high speed. But, the high-speed development of economy and science technology does not mean true and overall progress of human beings, who are be set by environmental problems, population problems and cultural conflicts; the ideal perished, the belief lost, the value confused, as a result, we lost our spiritual homeland. The modern times witness the unprecedented historical difficulties and spiritual crisis that human beings have encountered in their existence and development, which highlights the problems of human beings and their destiny to an unprecedented height. How to model contemporary humanism comes forward as a key issue and hotspot problem of socialist market economy, it is also an issue of realistic and theoretical implications of great importance. Chapter One Humanism and its evolution process: Combining theories with the history, this chapter semantically explores and defines the concept of humanism, explains the basic implications of the contemporary humanism. In the context of 21 century, I am of the opinion that with the value of 'truth, mercy and beauty' as its core, humanism is a kind of cultural spirit such as: People persistently pay their respect for the human nature, freedom, equality, love and spiritual pursuit and try to achieve the harmony among human beings, society and nature though the proper management of the relationships between people and people, people and nature, and people and society.Humanism is the spirit of culture, it is not invariable but evolving with the time. First, this chapter summarizes behaviors of humanistic crisis, among them, the outstanding behaviors are secularism, the opposition of science technology and human culture, digitization. Second, this chapter sorts out and summarizes the main arguments over the humanistic crisis, theoretically analyzes various behaviors of the humanistic crisis and exposes the real reason of the existence of the humanistic crisis. The main reasons for the existence of the humanistic crisis are: (a) the clashes between the new and old values leads to values vacuum. The establishment of socialist market economy system renders a hard impact upon Chinese traditional values, while at the same time, the new values are yet to be established, thus, the values vacuum comes into being. (2) global conflicts of culture. In the process of globalization, various trends of thoughts and cultural values come one after another; facing various values and conducts, people find it hard to adapt to this fast changing world, hard to find one's position. (c) alienation of technological sense. The enemy encountered by contemporary humanism is not "God", but reign, domination and depression of human beings by pervasive materials and technology. The issue of humanistic crisis is a reflection over the complex situations faced during the transformational process of China's society. Contemporary humanism has not been lost as a whole, but just has an ill appearance, either partially or superficiall...
