With the in-depth of national educational reform, elementary moral education has done away with the examination-centre teaching and emphasized the connection with the practical life. Particularly, the new amended has put into effect since the beginning of the spring term in 2002.The amended as converted the educational concept, improving the identification to the objectives and results of the moral education which stressed at the solution to the present circumstance that the teaching material is intricate, difficult, partial, old and emphasizes theoretical knowledge, updating the content, weakening the barriers among the course systems, and reinforcing the practise. Meanwhile, it emphasizes the education should make connection with the students' life and social environments and develop their dominical functions.The request teaching contents which consists of pure theoretical and conceptual knowledge have been deleted and amended, those of which update and encourage the students to create and innovate have been added. By following the new we strive for improving teachers' educational thoughts and concepts, and developing students' creation and innovation.How does the Grade VI's moral course teaching fit in mis situation? (Junior1 in 5.4 systems or Grade 6 in 6.3 systems) Only if we develop the teaching method from time to time and put the moral education into the practical life and students' behaviours other than teaching the knowledge, the conversion of elementary moral education could come through and the purpose of reform would be realized.After many years' experience in teaching, in my opinion, case study-originating from practical life, which emphasizes the students' dominical function and merit-oriented by developing students' ability of independent learning ,practise and innovation .is applicable to elementary moral education, especially in the teaching in Junior 1 in 5.4 system ( grade 6). It makes sense in developing moral education teaching reform and strengthening quality-oriented education.Case study is a method for improving the abilities of problem -analyzed & resolved by the learners' independent study and mutual discussion , which processes the real life situation into a typical case for the learners to consider ,analyze and decide as reference bases on a certain educational objective .( generally in written form)The article begins with the connotation of case study, and clears up the differences between the case study and a few confused teaching methods, then states the necessity of utilizing case study in Grade VI' s moral education lessonby in favour of improving the moral education and student individual development, presenting the feasibility of that from the Curricular Content, student's psychology developmental characters, thus it reaches a conclusion ,i.e. case study is a suitable approach to Grade VI' s moral education and obtaining the teaching effect and reaching the objective of moral education reform.The essay focuses on the explanation of how to utilize the case study in Grade VI' s moral education course, mainly at three points: first, composing the case; second, organizing the case study; third, assessing the students' achievement at analyzing the case. In the course of organizing the case study, the essay illustrates in detail the both sides' procedures between teacher's teaching and student's learning.At last, the questions existing in case study were put forward.
