As a basic axis of familiar relationship and a basic one of social relations, the parent-child relation is very important for familiar stability and social development. It reflects the historical process of social changes and refracts the spirit and characteristic of a given epoch. The society transforms planned economy into market economy after reform and opening, so the family comes deep and large changes. The familiar structure becomes more and more smaller and simpler. The parent-child relationship is also changed. According to the degree of dependence and construction with parents and children, the thesis raises an interaction model, namely: from non-symmetry dependence to interdependence.Firstly, non-symmetry dependence is traditional pattern of parent-child interaction. Before the reform and opening, Chinese society has undergone the Westernization Movement and the Revolution of 1911 as well as the May 4th Movement and the establishment of socialism. But they didn't thoroughly overcome traditional social structure. Tradition society established on the basis of self-sufficient natural economy. It's characteristic was co-construction of home and country. As a reflected concept of co-construction of home and country, filial piety was the ethics basis of the patriarch system. It regarded social group as value subject, the individual had no independent value. Under the influence of special economy, politics and culture, the relation of parent-child interaction formed a pattern, namely, non-symmetry dependence. It contained three parts. The first part, parents were subjects of interaction and in dominant position. Children were only regarded as objects. They lacked independent personality and in passive position. The second part, parents took children as private property of their own. They transmitted their own knowledge and experience to their children, meanwhile, they forced their children to accept their will and value concept. The third part, they mastered children's the right to education and association etc. In pace with social development, the actual problems that the non-symmetry dependence exists are more and more thoroughly exposed. It mostly expresses three aspects, namely, the dislocation of parts played by parents and children, the absence of children's creativity and the distortion of children's psychology. These problems not only confine the development of healthy personality and the improvement of children's comprehensive quality, but also lead to full of familiar contradictions and the increasing of the delinquency rate. Secondly, from tradition to modern leads to translation of the pattern of parent-child interaction. The traditional parent-child relationship has become to be criticized after the Revolution of 1911 and the May 4th Movement. But this revolt to traditional familiar ethics only limited in the ideological sphere. Really spurring the parent-child interaction on to change is the transformation that is from tradition to modern. The transformation is not only from planned economy and seal society to market economy and unseal society, but also from agriculture to industry and message society, from status society to contract society. Then it leads to familiar changes. The family scale is more and more smaller. Nuclear family becomes a trend, too. Parents' sense is changing and their attitude towards their children is very tolerant and understanding. Children have wide experience and extensive knowledge, so they can express their own viewpoint and requirement. They are not willing to be regarded as "the Cenozoic Era". Thirdly, interdependence is modern pattern of parent-child interaction. Traditional pattern of non-symmetry dependence has already been criticized from upper-class society during the initial modernization period. But this criticism didn't put the family in real life together. Only during the real transformation, the interdependent model is forming under overall promotion of modernization. The interdependent model contains three aspects. The fir...
