The Design And Control Of The Web Based Instruction Process

With the computer and the net are widely using, a new instructional model of the long-distance arises, which is called the Web Based Instruction. The classroom extends to the net and the traditional education ways and ideas are changed greatly. The living will been gotten in the education and instruction.The controlling process of the instruction is always an important role whether in the traditional instruction or in the web based instruction and it's the guarantee of the quality.The Web Based Instruction not only finishes the traditional instruction functions, but also has many differences to the traditional instruction, such as in the educational concept, instructional object, instructional process, instructional approach, the organization and application of instructional resources, instructional time and space etc. In the Web Based Instruction process, the time and space of the student and teacher will be different, so the controlling process of the instruction becomes very hard. At the same time the self-learning is the main way. If the less of the proper controlling, the students will lost their way and the efficient will be down. So it has an important value in the theory and practice.The research on the controlling of the Web Based Instruction process is less recently. But the research will accelerate the development of the Web Based Instruction. The paper discusses how to control during the instructional process in the Web Based Instruction from the web-based education instructional design and the web-based education process control. How to realize the control during the instructional course, it's been proposed that the information node is the based unit in the course. The information nodes are built up the lesson. They are not independent, but they have some relations. The information nodes will be organized the layered netlike fabric. The many controlling information can be organized together around the nodes. Through this way, we get the controlling navigation map. The control can be done through the map. In the paper, the data structure of the information nod and user information was discussed and the C Language description was given. At last, the content control software of theweb-based education was done. The software structure is C/S structure. The server is programmed in C language. The client is programmed in Visual C++.There are three parts in the paper. The first part is about the proposed problem, the web-based education history and development is introduced in brief. The essentiality and significance of the control is discussed. The second part talks about the principle and content of the web-based education control. The third part discusses the software design and the data structure in the web-based education course. The design thought and the functions are discussed in the part. At last it is the summarization.
