The new course criteria has put forward the task of changing the way of studying of students , recommending studying and probing in an independent and cooperative way. To realize the substantive transition of this kind of learning manner, teachers are obligated to respect and develop students' entity. Reviewing the mathematics teaching of Infant Normal School , with students' faint subject consciousness, weak mathematics foundation in junior high school, plus more students with study obstacles, so how to develop entity of students and improve teaching quality by a large scale is definitely a problem challenging mathematics teachers yet to be promptly resolved. Starting with investigation into the demonstration of students' entity behavior, with the new course reform as the guiding theory , based on the theories of constructivism and subject education, this paper is intended to structure an ideal teaching mode based on the "structure determines the function" principle that systematic science advocates. Still, the design of such teaching mode, which touches a lot on the internal and external classroom instruction structure as well as appraisal structure and highlights open teaching style, focuses on individual development and reflects such two characteristics as entity and opening. Hence such teaching mode can ensures students adequate freedom in learning and offers them a platform for cultivation of innovative consciousness. After nearly two years of Action-Experiment research (from November 2001 to May 2003), we are delighted to have arrived at the following two conclusions: (1) The students of Infant Normal School involved in the experiment have obtained entity development of a certain degree. (2) The whole mathematics study quality of those subjects has risen notably.
