Exploring reading focuses on "problem" , emphasizing how to cultivate the spirit of discovery and query. To put the exploring reading into practice satisfies the demand of new lesson standard: Meanwhile, it can improve and develop the student' s cultivated manners and frontier spirit.This text discusses some ways to carry out the exploring reading in the teaching of verse, prose, novel and play according to the present situation of reading teaching in senior middle school and my own teaching experience. In my opinion, the essence of exploring reading is to make the students explore and pursue the key problems of the passages. Exploring reading, which lets the students become a leading role, stirs up the interest in reading and strengthens their problem consciousness, is a dynamic process of dialogues and mind exchanges among students, teachers textbook editor and texts. In order to carry out exploring reading, it needs two terms. On one hand, the ideas should be changed. As a teacher, they must be democratic and regard the students as the most important factor in their teaching, what' s more, the teachers should guide the students to make them become the thinker, discoverer and explorer of problems. On the other hand, the evaluation system must be reformed and adjusted. In the mean time, three principles should be paid attention to while it was put into practice: at first, we should consider the value and possibility of the chosen subject while deciding a subject; second, we should emphasize the leading part of -the students and the guiding part of the teachers during the process of exploring; and third, it should be controlled effectively by a scientific management system.In the process of the research, the method that I adopt is to refer to documents and summarize up my experience. Combining the teaching experience of others with mine based on the relevant theories of reading, literature and art, and psychology, I have got a conclusion why and how we can put exploring reading into practice in teaching literature work in senior middle school.
