| This thesis illustrates the necessity and feasibility of the government of the Republic of China taking advantage of society-run education after reviewing Chinese society-run education history. The government of the Republic of China had to take advantage of society-run education to resolve the contradiction of enormous education need and week government finance. During the Republic of China, the development of economy and the enhance of people's idea made it feasible .The thesis chooses the private secondary schools of Henan to discuss the society-run education policy of the Republic of China and its effect and to analyse the meanings of its effect. The government adopted a series of measures to advocate and encourage society-run education, such as ensuring the position of society-run education, praising the people who contributed to education and subsidizing the good private schools. For making good use of all kinds of society resource and optimize the educational resource, the government not only advocated and encouraged society-run education, but also supervised and regulated it. The government use laws, policies and finances to standardize private schools. Because of advocation and standard of the government, both quantity and quality of private schools improved greatly during the Republic of China. The improvement benefited educational popularization, adding educational investment, pushing educational diversity and improving people's sense of participation in. So it had great meanings. |
