As the most important portion of Chinese teaching, reading teaching is always the focus of Chinese teaching reform as well as Chinese teachers' criticism. Over the past twenty years, some achievements have been made in the reading teaching reform, but for lack of the revolutionary theoretical foundation and for the sake of the negative effect of the exam-oriented education, the reform in the reading teaching comes to be just complementary instead of being radical.As a result, the problem that students "read little, read slow, read poor and read with great difficulty" still exists.With the new theoretical teaching principles, The Criteria of Chinese Course for Full-time Compulsory Education (experimental version) advocates setting up the new paradigm of Chinese teaching, in particular, the paradigm of the reading teaching so as to meet the demand of the belief of the learning-dominated society, lifelong education and lifelong learning.And all of this is of far-reaching significance.Based on the history of the reading teaching paradigm and the comprehensive analysis of the present reading teaching paradigm, this paper attempts to make a theoretical, practical analysis and exploration on the new scientific criterion of the reading teaching-"dialogue-experience" reading teaching--onpurpose to appeal to establish a new scientific criterion for the Chinese reading teaching as soon as possible.
