One of the new aspects in the ongoing reform of the elementary education is the integration between information technology (IT) and subject teaching. It now has become the focus of those researcher and practitioner interested in educational technology. How to apply IT to subject teaching in a comprehensive, proper and rational way, and how change the traditional teaching form, so as to foster the IT literacy, the innovation spirit and practical skills and abilities of the new generation? This thesis explores these fields and has given a relatively thorough analysis and inquiry on now to realize the integration between IT and subject teaching, in which, these educational research methods have been used:action research, literature concordance, investigation& interview, observation involvement, etc.Part One has elaborated the background, present condition, purpose, significance, and methods of the present study.Part Two has defined concepts relevant to the integration between IT& subject teaching, such as "integration", "the integration between IT& subject teaching"; elaborated the different developing periods of integration IT& subject teaching; summarized the nation's present integration practice, concerning the IT teaching applications of fifferent speeds and depths. As a conclusion, the purpose and practical significance of the IT& subject teaching integration has been pointed out.Part Three has expounded further the integration strategies between IT& subject beaching. Firstly, in order to implement the IT& subject teaching integration smoothly, certain principles are necessary, of which the essential ones are: by means of teaching practice, achieve the goal of information literacy fostering and knowledge gaining; with the advantages of IT, accomplish those tasks that the other teaching technologies cannot realize; designing instruction carefully. The E-environment is the material condition of integration, so the second part of Part Three pointed out the importanceand realizing strategy of the environment constructio. The professional quality of the teachers is the key to the whole integration, so training the teachers is necessary to realize the purpose of the integration. The following part of Part Three has elucidated the training model, content and method. The 4th to 7th part of Dart Three has elucidated the effective integration of IT& all the teaching elements, such as the ideas of teaching, the teaching objectives, the models, and the resources, etc. In the end of Part Three, the evaluation standards for the integration of the IT& subject teaching have been elucidated from four points of view:teaching objectives, the application of information technology, the subjectivity of the students, and the guiding role of the teachers.Part Four provides an elaborate analysis of two case examples on the IT& subject teaching integration, to give some directions to the practice.Part Five has summarized the research fruits of present study...
