Adopting qualitative research method , the paper explores the child teacher professional growth in private kindergarten of the Hui nationality in the poverty areas of northwest China . Based on the findings of pilot research , the author gets in touch with teachers of Q kindergarten in Linxia city . This research aims at :1. Based on the field work , describing the environment of the local kindergarten teachers' growth , in order to understand the existing state and the way of these teachers' professional growth .2. Understanding an experienced kindergarten teacher's personal practical knowledge , analyzing component part about preschool education of hers and influential factors in their professional growth .3. Deeply understanding the life world of local kindergarten teachers , such as personal educational background , marriage and family , teaching experience and motives , national and religious background , social environment and so on , through all above , exploring the main way of kindergarten teacher growth and their puzzles , difficulties and problems .4. Attempting to put forward some rationalization proposals to local department responsible for preschool education , in order to promote kindergarten teachers growth and enhance the national minority preschool education .The main findings of this research are as following :1. With love to children , the Hui nationality teachers of private kindergarten fully develop professional ethics which means bearing hardships and standing hard work , and love is one of motives of their growth.2. The main ways of growth is imitating , self - exploring and self - summarizing , through these ways , they accumulate some experience of preschool education , but there is clearly shortcomings in those experience :(1) Educating method is simple , that is to say , the ways of interaction between teacher and children is only language , the objects of interaction is only betweenteacher and children , the background of interaction is in collective activities , the means of interaction is only in classroom and collective activities directed by teacher .(2) Paying specially attention to teaching knowledge and ignoring play , also paying specially attention to result but not the course of study , all that make kindergarten have the tendency to primary school in teaching style .(3) The basic educational quality of these teachers is at a low level , e.g. lack-' ing of knowledge and professional skills . Because of these , a lot of teachers can' t meet needs of the children's all -round development .3. The way of these teachers growth is oversimplifying , the environment of growth is narrow , the experience through imitating is limited , and they are not effectively to communicate with outside .4. The facts that difficulties in their growth come from themselves , social context and children parents tell us these teachers need enhance their professional skill .5. The kindergarten teacher growth is related to many factors , such as their earlier educational and teaching experience , religion , life value , marriage and family, working environment, management method , cultural context and so on .6. In teacher's growth of the private Hui nationality, the role of the professional training is limited, so we should organize various kinds of training activities adapting to their reality.
