In knowledge-economy, entrepreneurial spirits and consciousness of collegestudents are significant both to their vocational development as well as economic vitalityand technical application in certain area. As one of the vital supports in collegeideological education, entrepreneurship education is necessary for college students'entrepreneurial cultivation. Chinese entrepreneurship education started late, andencountered many problems during its development.American college entrepreneurship education has experienced more than 60 years,and accomplished many achievements. This thesis compares the history, developing force,entrepreneurial circumstances and educational practices between China and America,aiming to find out effective methods for Chinese college entrepreneurship educationimprovement.In the first part of this thesis, concept and moral value of entrepreneurship educationare stated to analyze its positive effect on Chinese ideological education. In the secondpart of this thesis, history and developing circumstances of China and USentrepreneurship education are compared to analyze their driving forces. The third part ofthis thesis analyzes the ideas and objectives of China and US, stating the differencebetween entrepreneurship education programs in these two countries. The last part of thisthesis comes up with some advice on how to improve Chinese college entrepreneurshipeducation system.To improve our college entrepreneurship education system, China should establishcorrect entrepreneurial idea and objective; improve its organizing mechanism,entrepreneurial curriculum, practice platform and entrepreneurial circumstances. Effortsfrom colleges, society and government are needed to foster college students'entrepreneurial cultivation, and form high-quality entrepreneurial culture with joint force.
