In the era of knowledge economy, the building up and development of the Chinese research universities are related to the national competitive and the social creative ability. The Chinese research universities are based on the undergraduate education to foster and cultivate outstanding postgraduates. The scientific research is the first task in the Chinese research universities, and is the important way for creating the new theory.The Chinese research universities, especially "211","985" project university, obtaining lots of financial funds supported by government. However, the scientific research abilities are not given full develop, the research of evaluation is also weak. The one reason is lacking of researchers. The other reason is lacking of research results.According to the construction target of the Chinese research universities, think deeply about education and scientific research evaluation. Then I conclude from a number of information about the current situation of the research results evaluation in the Chinese research universities. I elaborate on the value guidance of research evaluation, the theory of evaluation methods and how to put it in use. I discuss the criterion of the evaluation about the social scientific research. I found defects and questions of the scientific research evaluation method in the Chinese research universities, and try to give my proposal for improving.
