In 2001 the Basic Education Curriculum Reform (try out) put forward to change the students in learning methods and learning evaluation, and emphasizied that teachers curriculum implementation from various angles and aspects, multi-level use the development the, process way to evaluate the students' learning methods and learning effect. But through the current research situation can discover, although about teachers' evaluation studies were very much, but the geographical class students skills assessment about high school students, especially the study of evaluation geographical skills but very little. The author in carries on the classroom observation process found geography class of geographical skills assessment many are ignored, many of the geography class for students or stay in memory, knowledge mastering and acquisition research and evaluation, with more of an emphasis on geography knowledge evaluation, but ignored the geographical skills assessment of students. This phenomenon worth us thinking, how to analyze the status quo, find out the cause, and find coping strategies and methods are is author in thought. Therefore the author in this direction were some beneficial explore.This paper total is divided into six parts:The first part:introduction. This section is the main content of this paper introduces the research background, significance, and through the literature review related research analyzed the current situation and existing problems, and proposed in this foundation plans to solve problems, and introduces its research ideas and required method.The second part: the theoretical support for research. First defined the concept of geographical skills, and then from education, teaching theory, modern learning theory, the new curriculum evaluation theory etc. Discuss research theoretical basis.The third part geographical skill evaluation analysis of present situation and reasons. The graduate education by investigative internship opportunities in geography class conduct classroom observation and class records by huazhong normal university, urban and environmental science college lab in geographical teaching process in 2009 the national geographic video analysis of high quality class, it is concluded that the present and explaining to high school geography teachers the current assessment of geographical skills, and then analyses the reasons of the existence of these situation.The fourth part principles and strategies. This part of the theoretical basis, based on front against the current assessment of geographical skills and combines the geographical skills assessment principles and strategies to explore solutions, and do empirical case design, in which the effective evaluation of geographical skills.The sixth part summarizes the basic conclusion that this research, and points out the deficiency of this project, and further research on thinking.
