The advancement of education informationization is accelerating the construction of digital information resources in China universities; every day there are a lot of digital information resources appearing on the network, which become important learning material sources for self-directed learning. These resources are large amount of data, wide varieties, but the quality of these resources is bad as well as good. At present the study on digital information resources performance evaluation has lagged behind its development and construction in our country, how to improve service quality and the efficiency value of digital information resources, which become an important challenge to resource developers. In this study, through analyzing the research status of digital information resources performance evaluation in domestic and foreign, with China's actual situation, we has constructed performance evaluation criteria system for all kinds of digital information resources supported self-directed, and has applied it to performance evaluation of the specific resources, then aiming at the existing problems, we has put forward some improvement suggestions.This paper is composed by five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction, it mainly interprets research background, research status in domestic and foreign and research plan, etc. The second chapter is relevant theoretical foundation, through analyzing the concept, characteristics, conditions of self-directed learning, and the concept, characteristics of digital information resources, this chapter explains the classification of digital information resources from the angle of user who is self-directed learner, and then analyzes the relationship between self-directed learning and the digital information resources. Through defining the performance evaluation and other relevant concepts, explains the connotation of digital information resources performance evaluation, based on summarizing relevant researches, analyze the method, principle and content of performance evaluation, which lay a solid foundation for the construction of digital information resources performance evaluation criteria and empirical research. The third chapter is the process of construction of digital information resources performance evaluation criteria system supported self-directed learning, at first discusses the principle of constructing criteria system, and then chooses representative evaluation objects from four kinds of resources, pooling initial indicators and important influence factors of all kinds of resources, through the first survey for the important degree of initial indicators and important influence factors to determine the final evaluation criteria. Secondly, it designs the second questionnaire about the importance of the evaluation criteria, through selecting the improved analytic hierarchy process to determine the weights of each performance evaluation criteria. Finally establishes performance evaluation criteria system tables for all kinds of resources. The fourth chapter is empirical research, selects three kinds of electronic journals database as performance evaluation targets, introduced by Central China Normal University library, applies the user satisfaction evaluation method to evaluate and diagram three kinds of database, then puts forward concrete improvement suggestions for performance evaluation of digital information resources. The fifth Chapter is an conclusion, expounds the study achievements, deficiency and prospect of this paper.
