| The environmental protection is one of the basic state policies of our country; people take more cares of the problem of the increasingly exasperating environment nowadays. The key to what environment have been effectively protected or not is the level of environmental awareness; education is the guiding support for The formation and development of consciousness, therefore environmental education is essential for increasing of the environmental awareness. The environmental awareness of senior high school students who are on the point of stepping into society and the threshold of builders and successors will directly affect the success of environmental protection upon society as a whole, the goal realization of national sustainable development strategies and the goal realization of the hannonious development between human and nature. The situation of senior middle school students'environmental awareness, teachers possess the ability of environmental teaching or not, the school offers software and hardware for environmental education or not, all of them take an important part in the study on biological teaching. Biological teaching in senior middle school is essential for environmental education; it is an important component of quality education and environmental education. Study of environmental education in senior middle school is one of the important tasks of biological educators; Chongqing is the center of communication, commercials and transportation in southwest China. The seven senior middle schools which are operated directly under the education committee of Chongqing get more support and concerns than other middle schools, they are stand for the best degree of education in Chongqing. So, take a research on these seven middle schools has the count meanings.Firstly, on the basis of the thing that forefathers study, the author summarizes the related concept of environment, environmental awareness, and environmental education, then puts forward his own understanding of them.Secondly, the writer designed a questionnaire and made survey on students and teachers of seven senior middle schools which are operated directly under the education committee of Chongqing, in order to understand the situation of environmental education in Chongqing as a whole. It showed that:1) Both students and teachers are in poor of environmental knowledge. The rate of correct answer to related questions was rather low, usually below 50%; the overall knowledge structure is unbalanced, the rate of correct answer to some questions is more than 70%, to the other is less than 10%; compared with students, teachers has advantages of the accumulation of knowledge obviously, The difference value is 30.4%.2) The level of environmental awareness is not high enough, but they didn't realize. In the part of environmental values, both students and teachers get high scores, the highest is 92; but in the part of environmental behavior, both of them get low scores, blow 50. On the face of it, the action lags behind thought obviously.3) The degree of satisfaction about surrounded environment and others'environmental awareness also at a low level, and they look forward to changing this situation by education; both students and teachers of the seven schools are not satisfied enough with surrounded environment, the related scores below 60. Compared the seven schools each other, it shows that: both the teachers and the students of the affiliated high school of Southwest University get more scores the others, 8.6 above by teachers and 11.5 by students; meanwhile,97.1% of teachers and 93.8% of students point out that: it is necessary to take environmental education.4) Biological teachers are unequal to the environmental education, the environmental education did not run efficiently in classroom instruction. It is very different between the teacher and student thought about environmental education in classroom instruction, the related scores get by teacher is about 40 higher than that get by student.5) The school has a general lackadaisical attitude towards environmental education. The scores are below 20 in the part of propaganda about environmental education, studies on School Curriculum and attitudes of school leaders; all of the seven schools did not do some studies on school curriculum at all.Thirdly, based on reading a large number of documents; interviewing some practical biological teachers, understanding the implementation of environmental education and what do they think about this issue; listening some quantitative classes, analyzing their teaching plan; to communicate with students in order to know their opinion about environmental education; and combining many practical experiences, the author analyzed the cause of above.Finally, according to all researches above and related problem in environmental education, the author takes the biological classroom instruction as the breakthrough point, analyzing the biological textbook, combining some teaching cases, and then represents practical measurements in teaching practice. |
