The reform of new chemistry course in senior high school has been carried on nationwide. It is a key link to research the present situation of new chemistry course in the curriculum reform. Because it can help us discover the problems existed in the implementation and thus can help us make promptly adjustments. At present, the new chemistry course in senior high school has been implemented for a semester, what have we obtained? And what problems are there? The author makes an investigation to understand the present situation of new chemistry course in Shizhu distract.The thesis draws upon means of literature, interviews, questionnaire, and data static and comparative analysis under the guidance of new curriculum idea and related theory.This article selected the survey of target of three schools in Shizhu district that served as senior students and the teaching style of chemistry teachers. Then, the present situation of the implementation is made clear through interview of teachers and questionnaire survey and interview of students.From that, we arrive at a conclusion. There are some good results implementing the new chemistry course, as teachers obtain the exercise and renew the teaching ideas, and the ways of teaching have no longer confined to the traditional single teaching. But, there are also some problems:1. Inquiry, Autonomy, and collaborative learning process often come into a formalized situation, not getting the expected results.2. The school lacks teaching resources, as the poor equipped experimental equipment and over much students in one class, resulting in many experimental teaching can not be normalized.3. The investments in professional development of teachers from the education department are inadequate, particularly in the academic research and learning resources.4. The effort of cultivating students' ability is not comprehensive, which results in a large amount of students think that scientific inquiry is more difficult questions than others.Finally, the author proposes some strategies and suggestions according to the problems found in the investigation and hope that these strategies and suggestions can make a positive contribution to the reform of new chemistry course in Shizhu high schools.
