Curriculum implementation is an important part of the curriculum reform. So far, thenew curriculum of senior school chemistry has been implemented for five years in HebeiProvince. In the whole process of the curriculum reform, many scholars concern about thecity education and ignore the rural education. As an agricultural country of China,understanding the current situation of the new curriculum implementation by chemistryteachers in countryside senior school is helpful to evaluate the new curriculumimplementation objectively, and clear the direction of chemistry curriculum reform. Thisresearch is employed the approach of case study. We conduct the deep investigation on theimplementation degree of new curriculum and influential factors in a rural senior school byusing multiple methods, such as interview, observation and document analysis, and advancesome suggestions for the further development of the new curriculum implementation at seniorschools in rural area.The paper is divided into four chapters: The first chapter is the introduction, this researchbackground, meaning, subjects and research methods used. Part two: Review of the literature.This paper mainly discusses the current situation at home and abroad. Part three: A study tothe chemistry teachers’ basic conditions in the implementation of new curriculum in the caseschool by using multiple methods, such as interview, observation. Regarding the“Concerns-Based Adoption Model (CBAM)†as the theoretical foundation, analysis andassess the Stage of Concern and the Level of Use of teachers in rural school. Analysis theinfluential factors which impact the effective implementation of new curriculum in caseschool, including the impedance of the teacher, the concerns of personal interests, teachertraining and teacher development, the quality of the school teachers, supporting resources,and the students’ quality. Part four: Some suggestions to rural schools on the new curriculumimplementation. The rural school need to set a variety of evaluation standard, increase thechemistry teacher training on new curriculum,strengthen the cooperation of chemistryteacher,develop the native curriculum material, using multimedia assisted chemistry teachingreasonably, play the role of the chemistry learning guide and seeking social support to perfect the chemistry teaching equipment. |
