Research On The Paternal Education In The Family Education

Tracing the history of Chinese family education, we can find that there are many descriptions involved with the paternal education in China which has actually some traditions of the family education. The ancient used"there won't be a closer relation than the father and his son's relation"to describe the intimate degree between the father and the son. And they defined the father's responsibility with a"teaching". The saying that"the father should take teaching as the matter"requests that the fathers should teach their children well and standardize their behavior to conform with the need of the society. The saying that"it's the father's mistake if he didn't teach his children"emphasizes the father's responsibility on teaching their children.However, entered the 20th century, as a result of many factor's influences such as the family division of labor idea, the father's responsibility is only gradually locked outside the home. The majority of families are taken on the heavy responsibility by the mother on educating the children and the paternal education is going into seclusion gradually in the family. Actually, the father and the mother don't only have respectively unique efficiency and superiority in the family education but also display the action of force together in the young people's family education. So the research is for the purpose through combing a large amount of literature material to inquire into emphatically the paternal education which couldn't be neglected in the family education.Firstly, the research gets a synthesis and regularization for the basic concept of the paternal education. Then the research summarizes the background, the methods and the contents of carrying on the paternal education in the Chinese feudalistic society.And then it introduces the father's role in the feudalistic families.Secondly, this research summarizes the characteristic of the paternal education and its existence necessity based on referring in detail a large amount of literature material. And the research explains the reasons of this phenomenon and the bad influence which is caused by it. In order to avoid making the study absolute, this article also summarizes respectively the unique efficiency and superiority about the paternal education and the maternal education. Under the affirmation that the maternal education has been premised, the research points out that the maternal education couldn't substitute for the paternal education.Finally, this research attempts to make some suggestions and reconsideration on how to implement the paternal education correctly. The research introduces some actions which are in the process of implementing the paternal education in the Western country. Our country may carry on some useful actions which are fit for us for reference. Moreover, this research gives some suggestions from the two aspects about the self-fashioning of father's role and how to carry on the paternal education which suit our country's populace fathers to carry on the paternal education. And it gives some reconsiderations to implement the paternal education in our country from several respects such as the moral constraints, the social support , the father's self-promotion and so on in the last main body part.
