With the deepening and experience accumulation of world education reform, people have realized the role of the teacher in education reform. The teacher is one of the three major factors to determine education reform, and governments around the world have attached great importance to the education of teacher. However, in today's increasingly fierce social competition, due to the shortening of materialization cycle and the acceleration of knowledge updating, the simple one-time education has already been unable to meet the needs of teacher development. Therefore, it is necessary to vigorously promote the teachers'further education to improve their overall quality. Only in this way can it adapt to the needs of our country's new round of the basic education curriculum reform and deal with the aging of knowledge skills as well as meet the requirements of modern new teachers. Teachers'further education refers to the reeducation of the teacher who has obtained the qualified certificate and can adapt to the basic requirements of teachers, and it aims at updating their knowledge structure, broadening knowledge, deepening the knowledge level and improving their professional skills.Further education of PE teachers is an integral part of teachers'further education. It is defined as the training of qualified PE teachers with nationally prescribed certification which aims to update their knowledge structure, enhance their professional skills, and improve their political thought, teaching and researching capacity. At present, national project of PE teachers'further education facing 21st century has entered the implementation stage. However, there are many problems to be resolved in the process of implementation. This paper makes a research on the further education of middle school PE Teachers in Kaifeng city. With the aid of literature review, investigation, interview, statistics and other methods, it carries out a survey of the current situation of the further education of middle school PE teachers in Kaifeng city at the macro level, making an in-depth systematic analysis of the problems and main factors in the process of PE teachers'further education with corresponding countermeasures. Therefore it provides a theoretical reference for the future development of PE teachers'further education in Kaifeng city.Through the questionnaire research, it is found that the further education of the middle school PE teachers in Kaifeng city existing the following questions: its old and narrow ideas as well as the vague understanding can't truly realize the importance of further education and its value; its rigid and single training form can't meet the multi-layer and diversified needs of most PE teachers; the pertinence of its course contents is not strong and has difficulty in practical applications; its examination is not rigorous or scientific enough as well as the contents of test and teaching are in disagreement, so it can't really play the role of evaluation and discernment; teachers'activeness and initiative to participate in the further education are influenced by the random teaching of the trained teachers, their heavy teaching tasks, heavy financial burdens and leaders'nonsupport.To solve these problems, the author proposes the following measures: transforming the old idea, and understanding the importance and necessity of PE teachers'further education; verifying the school body and form, enhancing school's pointedness, and stimulating PE teachers to participate in the further education actively and positively, so as to satisfies the demand of middle school teachers in different levels; Providing sufficient time, funds and construction base for the further education, strengthening the education training system's construction and propaganda for the further education to guarantee the further education implement smoothly; as for teachers, doing more researches and improving the ability to study; improving the way of examination and constructing the further education appraisal system to make the further education effective.
