The traditional folk sports games play important roles in the culture of Chinese traditional sports,reflecting the common mode of the behavior,thinking,emotion and communication in a certain area,with distinctive national characteristics and local characteristics.After generations,the spreading and development of the traditional folk sports games has become an integral part of our national culture.Inhistory,the traditional folk sports games with its unique culture,entertainment,education,have changed the value of the social recognition to some extent,enhancing the national pride and self-confidence,achieving the dream on the pursuit of happiness and satisfaction.Kaifeng is located in the Central Plains,which is renowned as the ancient capital of eight dynasties.Kaifeng has a rich cultural heritage,and varieties of the traditional folk sports gamesuch as gyro whipping,diabolo,tug of war,shuttlecock,hopscotch have a wide populatiry.However,with the change of social environment and the change of people's life style,the development of folk traditional sports games is declining.The protection of the Cultural heritage should start from the younger generations,especially form the primary school.The research undergone in this paper makes the best use of the method of literature analysis,questionnaire,interviews to carry out the present circumstances of the traditional folk sports games existing in ten primary schools in Kaifeng,in order to understand the problems and influencing factors of the national traditional sports games in the urban primary school.Consequently,this paper argues some reasonable suggestion for the benign inheritance and development of folk traditional sports games by providing practical data and theoretical basis.The results are as follows:1.The present circumstance of the folk traditional sports games in Kaifeng:Kaifeng riches in folk traditional sports gamesand resources.But there existed some difficulties in its inheritance and development.The parents of the elderly childhood has lost 15% for all,PE teachers have lost 30% and 65%lost among primary pupils.The protection activitiesfor the traditional folk sports games is imminent.2.The present circumstance of the Traditional Sports Games in the primary school in Kaifeng:The cognition level among the physical education teachers,students and parents remains relatively low;The variety of the traditional folk sports games maintains less diverse,meanwhile,the traditional folk sportsgames always works as a form of entertainment to relax;it is quite commonfor the physical teachers' less understandingand unfamiliar to the traditional folk sports games;the lack of the traditional folk sports game facilities;the participation to the traditional folk sports game depends on the inter school organization;3.factors influencing the development of traditional ethnic sports games in KaifengThe rapid development of economy,the change of electronic,network,intelligence and other means of game and way,hinder the traditional folk sports games;foreign sports programmes have a impact on the traditional folk sports games;Denser buildings,more crowded living community in the urbanshave competed for the limited social space with the traditional folk sports games;the change of the lifestyle,especially the one-child policy has undermined the traditional folk sports games;the introduction of modern amusement parks,attractions and western competitive sports,hindered the traditional folk sports development;social protection and inheritance of traditional folk sports games,consciousness.Physical education in school education is based on the principle of safety,as a result,the facilities of the traditional folk sports games have no survival spcae;the overloading among the physical teachers makes the traditional folk sports games less attentional;the traditional exam oriented education renders the traditional folk sports game out of the syllabus;lack of policy and financial support;sports teachers and parents themselves are affected by the one child policy makes them less understandable for the the traditional folk sports game.The parents of heavy knowledge,light sports deprived children game time;students' spare time arranged a large number of classes,to be of no interest,house home hinder their participation in the game activities.4.The strategies stimulating the Folk Traditional Sports Game Development in the primary school in Kaifeng:The transformation of school sports education idea,the optimization of primary school physical education environment;enhancing the traditional folk sports Games publicity,improving the awareness of the inheritance and protection of traditional folk culture;Policies need to focus more on the development of the traditional folk sports games;more funds should be put into the construction and development with the traditional folk sports games;carrying out traditional folk sports games based on different situation;strengthening the training of traditional sports talents,as the traditional folk sports games in the school to provide security;to further reduce the academic burden on students;changing the education ideainto quality education;the combination of school education and family education,promoting the inheritanceand development of the traditional folk sports games;the establishment of traditional folk sports games theme park or set up the traditional folk sports recreation area in the existing park;the traditional folk sports games in sports teaching plan or encourage teachers to make use of the traditional folk sports games,to make it more interesting;establishing the traditional folk sports games for the community,the traditional folk sports games in the whole society and the healthy development of inheritance provides space.
