Nowadays practice-oriented in-service teacher training becomes a new trend of teacher education in the world. The study of this new trend is an important issue in the field of teacher education as well as in comparative education in China. But up to now the studies on this issue are not enough, and systematic studies about the in-service teacher training with practice as the entry point are much less. On the base of summarizing the literatures and exploring the related patterns of western countries about the issue, mainly using literature study method, comparative study method, from theoretical study to practice exploration, systematically studying practice-oriented in-service teacher training in the world, so development trends of practice-oriented in-service teacher training are obtained. It can provide a good view to re-examine in-service teacher training patterns in our country and a reference to build our in-service teacher training mode. The whole paper consists of four parts:The first part is theoretical basis. It put forward using the phenomenology as the theoretical basis of this study and from various aspects elaborates the relationship between phenomenology and practice-oriented in-service teacher training.The second part is the turning of the idea of practice-oriented in-service teacher training. It introduces educational scholars' theory about in-service teacher training and further analyzes that the theory provides impetus to practice-oriented in-service teacher training research.The third part is the reality shape of practice-oriented in-service teacher training. First, it introduces British and American and Japanese relevant in-service teacher training mode based on practice, and it is briefly commentated. Second, on the basis of the above study, the teacher training field carries out practice exploration such as education action studies, education of narrative research, etc.The fourth part is thinking and enlightenment. Based on the above three parts'study, it come to development trends of practice-oriented in-service teacher training. With the current status of in-service teacher training in our country, it reflects practice-oriented in-service teacher training to our enlightenment, and try to be helpful on Chinese in-service teacher training reform.
