Along with the implementation of new curriculum reform, the rationale of inquiry learning in countrywide middle and primary school is widely spread, but the practice of inquiry learning is unsatisfactory in practical application. To find out its cause, apart from the limit of teachers, environment, resources, experience and other factors, one of the biggest obstacle is the school difficult to promote for students offer real research-oriented learning environment. Meanwhile , rapid development and deeply loved of the online game by primary and middle school students, make people think: using the online game's technical superiority, provide inquiry learning environment for students. Make full use of the network game's technical superiority, simulating the environment that needed in inquiry learning, making students conduct inquiry learning for observation,analysis,exploration and conclusion in a virtual environment, is a feasible shortcut for the implementation of the new curriculum reform. And the process of learning is called game-based Inquiry Learning. Researching on the learning behaviors of learner in game-based inquiry learning will provide some theoretical support for game designers and developers, while helping the developing and implementing of inquiry learning.The research of educational games focuses on the basic theory and design development at home and abroad, the research based on the Learning Science are less. But the advantages of online game in technology and popularity make the research in this aspect receive increasing attention. Online games can provide research-oriented learning environment for learners through making use of its technical. Let learners finish learning process in inquiry learning and hold the content of learning for trial-and-error. We will observe learning behaviors of learners through taking the educational game named farmtasia2 for learning environment, selecting the students of a middle school in Henan Kaifeng as the research object, and letting the students carry out activities of inquiry learning in virtual farm. The analysis of learning behaviors of foreign scholars refer for the five dimension analysis model that put forward to by Henri, and the biggest characteristics of online game is interactive, so it is very apt and appropriate to analyze the learning behaviors of learners from interactive dimension. According to their own experience or practice, some scholars at home and abroad put forward some interactive model for analyzing learning behavior, such as Laurillard's session model. According to the characteristics of game-based inquiry learning, and referring interaction model, this article analyses learning behaviors from the interaction of the learners in game,the information interaction and the interaction between the old and new concepts. At the end, it will analyze how the response of game-based inquiry learning in the primary and secondary schools.The experiment lasted five weeks, main research methods contain observation,interviews,investigation and so on. The results indicated that the learning behaviors for learner in game-based inquiry learning exist in the interaction between learner and game, and information interaction, and their interaction between old and new concepts. Among them, the interaction with game and the interaction with information are external interactions, the resulting behavior is explicit conduct, can be quantified and observed. The interaction with the old and new concepts belong to the internal interactions, the resulting behavior is implicit learning behavior, can't be quantified, it exists in the result of inquiry learning. The results of data analysis showed that: the learning behaviors of students in game-based inquiry learning mainly exist in the external interaction, and the specific learning behavior are trial and error, inquiry, identify, find, move, listen, amendment, cooperation and reflection. Trial and error, inquiry, identify belong to the interaction between students with game. Find, move, listen, amendment, cooperation belong to the interaction between students with information. Reflection throughout the course of these interaction. Student learning outcomes reflected in the internal interaction, including the improvement of knowledge, ability to upgrade, emotional attitude and values development.In a word, there are autonomous learning, cooperative learning and inquiry learning in the game-based inquiry learning. Although there are excessive trial and error, inefficient writing, shallow reflection and simple to find such deficiencies, this mode of learning are not only increasing the interest of learning for students, but also promoting the communication and cooperation of students. Relatively speaking, the ability of questioned and questioning in game-based inquiry learning is weak, but in a sense, it help the students improve their capacity in this area. Therefore, game-based inquiry learning is worth popularizing in junior high school.
