The professional development of teachers is a key factor to the educational development. Teachers have got to improve their professional quality in order to avoid disjunction with the rapid advancement of education at present in China. Such a development as the teachers'professional skills has drawn full attention of the whole society. For those engaging in education, the traditional training could no longer catch up with the rapid pace in an age when the newly- developed information and internet technology are unrelentingly changing the way we think and study. The same can be said of their need for an unconventional pattern to improve. Information technology arouses the urgency as well as the facilitation for such improvements. Nowadays, network learning community, which provides flexible and convenient educational environment counting on its unique characteristics, makes great contribution to the old-fashioned learning. This paper, on the basis of the theories about teacher's professional training and network learning community, hence, would like to explore the possibility of a new "network learning community for the professional development of teachers". The uniqueness of this vocation and the features of network learning community are attached special significance helping to define the functional orientation. The analysis of the elements, mutual relation and existent conditions combined with the empirical knowledge in a real-life practice on the construction of network learning community as well as the theoretical study from the ecological point of view, proceeds to verify the feasibility of the project. The methods of literature research, action research, content analysis and comparative study are employed to realize the assumption.
