In the context of curriculum reform, it is necessary to grasp the cognition of students in the process of learning and to use appropriate teaching strategies to promote students'cognitive development.It's not sufficient to realize the general periodic cognitive characteristics from the viewpoint of students'age in senior high school physics teaching practice, so it is necessary to study the cognition and characteristics in every learning process, then choose the teaching strategies accordingly.Based on the study of cognitive theory and practice, the cognitive process in Senior High Physics study is divided into five stages, establishing the students'learning process model; with this model as the assisting tool,under the guidance of teaching theory, how to recognize the students'cognitive characteristics in two types of Senior high physics teaching, namely:concepts, experiments, is studied, and give advices on the choice of teaching strategies with corresponding teaching designs.
