Since the beginning of the 21st century, the development of the network has allowed us to have access to a new media era that use the network as a platform, based on digital communication and supported by new media technology.The new media era shows a variety of characteristics of the times which is different from the traditional media, such as the technology of openness and equality, the two-way interpersonal communication and interaction, real-time dissemination of information and ideological construction and extensiveness of the independence and freedom, etc. New media changed the way people learn and live.Under the background of the new media, high school students are in the special physical and mental development stages and gradually become the main use of new media group, so new media has a direct impact on high school students .At the same time, new features of new media from a variety of angles and at different levels have brought new problems and new challenges to moral education in schools.We must further understand and grasp the characteristics of new media communication,take full advantage of the unique advantages of the new media to innovate new ways.This paper discusses the characteristics of new media and how to strengthen moral education in general high schools under the new media environment from the ideas of moral education in schools, moral education of the main innovation, the innovation moral content, moral way of innovation, moral forms of innovation and so on to create a new situation of ordinary high school moral education work in the new situation.
