| Along with our country's economic increasing development of life and the deepening of the reform of new curriculum, the term probability is becoming more and more into the life of ordinary people.Probability, as an independent discipline, the speed of whose formation and development is what other disciplines can't match.In the "high school mathematics curriculum standards (test)" and "full-time regular senior high school curriculum", the term probability changed a lot in its concept, structure , content as well as its teaching materials.Front-line teachers should thoroughly comprehend the essence of the new curriculum reform, we must study the changes in the old and new materials. The study use the probability in the two teaching materials of "full-time regular senior high school textbooks (Experimental Amendment). Mathematics" (PEP) and "high school curriculum standard textbooks. Mathematics" (for Jiangsu) as the research object .This paper is divided into four parts: part 1, consult some related literature, comprehend the current situation about probability both at home and abroad . part 2, Compare old and new materials to study the differences in the preparation ,structure and content of this chapter at the base of the comparison between "standard" and "Outline" on the evaluation target, content, evaluation and other aspects of differences in the chapter probability. Part 3, contrast the differences , strengths and weaknesses of old and new materials in actual teaching in the form of case.
