| With the implementation of the Mathematics Curriculum Standard of Full-time Compulsory Education,some contents of junior high school probability have been strengthened.correspondingly,the educational philosophy has kept pace with the times and the teaching methods of mathematics have been constantly innovated.So,how is the probability teaching going in actual teaching?How is the awareness and attitude of teachers and students to the probability teaching?What are the difficulties existing while teaching and how to overcome them?Whereas all of these are unknow as well as very important,this paper makes research on the current situation of probability teaching,analyzes the related research results and presents recommendations.The paper perfects its theory of teaching method of "activities experiment"through its teaching practise by comprehensively adopting the methods of literature survey,questionnaire survey and interviews statistics to collect and analyze related literature,arrange and summarize the questionnaires from many teachers and count the interviews and communication with single student.The major findings obtained from the study are the following:1.The result of the teachers’ questionnaire survey shows:it is unsatisfactory and comes up against problems about the probability contents and requires of new mathematics course in middle school teaching:(1)the students and teachers pay less attention to probability;(2)the students are inadequate understanding the concept of probability;(3)the multimedia technology is poorly applied in probability teaching;(4)the application value of probability is unproven;(5)the teachers obtain poor support in practical teaching and the teacher training is of no use.2.It is proved,by the course practice,that the teaching method of activities experiment could accomplish the teaching aim and request and meet the requirements of<Outline>and<Standards>.It has been given good feedback from students as it not only is close to daily life but also mobilizes the students’ enthusiasm.3.Based on the results of practical research,teachers propose:pay enough attention to the teaching of probability contents,understand clearly the requirements of curriculum standards and improve the teaching method;the suggestions to activity lesson:the teachers should be with effective organization,clearly defined goal,reasonable division,various assessment,dynamic forms and diversification;the suggestions to teacher training:the contents of training should be specific and combine the practical situation of teaching with flexible forms. |
