| The "Textbook Development and Management" section of the "Outline for Basic Education Curriculum Reform(Trial)" issued by the Ministry of Education on June 7,2001 explicitly states:“Implementing the diversification of teaching materials under the guidance of basic national requirements, encourage relevant agencies, publishing departments, etc.to prepare primary and secondary school teaching materials in accordance with national curriculum standards.”In order to meet the needs of modern educational development, the mathematics textbooks around junior high schools have evolved from a single era of "one program and one textbook" to a multi-flower era.Up to now, there have been as many as 12 versions of textbooks for junior high school mathematics, including the "Compulsory Textbook Mathematics" published by People’s Education Press(hereinafter referred to as "PEP")and "Published by Beijing Normal University Press".Compulsory education textbook mathematics(hereinafter referred to as Beijing Normal University Edition)and Shanghai Education Publishing House published the "Nine-year Compulsory Education Textbook"(hereinafter referred to as the Shanghai Education Edition). All these versions of textbooks are based on the "Standards for Maths Courses of Full-time Compulsory Education"(hereinafter referred to as "Standards")promulgated by the Ministry of Education in July 2011.Among them, the content of junior high school mathematics is divided into four major aspects.Statistics and probability are increasingly concerned by more and more scholars as important aspects of cultivating middle school students’ mathematics core qualities.Based on this, this article takes statistics and probability as the main content of the study. It is based on the People’s Education Press,Beijing Normal University Edition and Shanghai Education Edition. It compares it from the macroscopic and microscopic perspectives in order to use and select different versions.Teaching materials have inspiration and help. The main contents of this article are as following(1)Based on a macro perspective, the three versions of textbooks were compared and analyzed. The curriculum standards, content arrangement and chapter structure were compared and analyzed.By comparison, they all reflected the basic concepts of mathematics in terms of curriculum standards, embodying the essence of statistics and probability knowledge, and fully considering the different regions.Differences in the level of economic development reflect the idea of educational justice. However, the three versions have their own characteristics. In terms of content arrangement, the PEP expounds the relationship between knowledge points more clearly and transparently, and a tight system is easily formed between statistics and probabilistic knowledge structures.Beijing Normal University explained that knowledge forms are more diverse and the relationship between the content of the Shanghai Education Edition is more reasonable. In terms of chapter structure, the statistics of PEP and the knowledge of probability are separately stated.Beijing Normal University is more concerned with the setting of activities, and the activities are set up in different ways.(2)Based on a micro perspective, the three versions of textbooks were compared and analyzed. After comparing and analyzing the three aspects of knowledge arrangement, illustration distribution and example exercises, they find that they are all committed to cultivating students’ application awareness and innovation awareness as much as possible on the clear and thorough basis of the knowledge point clarification. However, the three also have their own characteristics. In terms of the arrangement of knowledge points,Beijing Normal University Edition textbooks are more meticulous, and they emphasize the application of statistical and probabilistic combinations. In the distribution of illustrations,PEP pays more attention to the reasonable arrangement between illustrations and texts. In the example exercises, the “Shanghai Education Edition” requires higher students’ ability to use knowledge. |
