Chinese new course standard demands the teachers to notice to the Dialogue Instruction. With ten-year practice of new course standard and new textbooks, a lot of problems have been presented. Chinese teachers are confronted with various troubles during the process of dialogue instruction. By questionnaire, observation of teaching and document analysis, this paper tries to find out students'real reaction to the teaching and recognize students'expectation of the classes. Another task of the paper is to analyze the real situation of current Chinese teaching in high schools. By analysis, these problems have been found: teachers refuse to communicate with students; the communication between teachers and students are a mere formality; reading teaching is usually based on questions and lack profound thinking. There are two main reasons. One reason is that some teachers have not perceived dialogue instruction clearly and correctly. The other reason is that the practice is usually restricted by a lot, such as teachers'experience, teachers'authority, students'preparation and teaching evaluation. Therefore, this paper ascertains the origin of dialogue instruction, discusses about the theory of dialogue instruction, finds out the difficulty of dialogue instruction, analyzes the reasons for the difficulty and works out the possible ways to put dialogue instruction into teaching practice. This paper is aimed to provide some practical advice on Chinese teaching and present some beneficial methods of dialogue instruction.
