With the widespread implement of the 2005 new curriculum programs in universities, ideological and political education has made a wealth of practical experience and theoretical research. However, at the same time, the theoretical researchers and the"front-line"educators have to face a lot of confusion very often. In order to continuously improve the teaching effectiveness of the ideological and political theory curriculum, the ideological and political education researchers should take it as their historical responsibility to regard the moral education curriculum as the research content and research the process of its history development. The ideological and moral education has gone through the stages of creation, development, enhancement and integration which has proved the internal logical relationship between the social development and the reformation of the ideological and moral education curriculum in universities: The social development offers the base to the reformation of the ideological and moral education curriculum while the reformation of the ideological and moral education curriculum leads further progress and development of the society. The history of the ideological and moral education curriculum is just the history of the curriculum reformation. It reflects the brilliant, setbacks, hardships and exploration during the process of the socialist construction. It makes it clear to us that to insist and keep strengthening the ideological and moral education is the guarantee for China's higher education to develop in the right direction and for us to train qualified builders and trustworthy successors.
