Red resource refers to the great revolutionary spirit and its carrier formed during the long-time process in which the Chinese people of all ethnic groups, under the leadership of the communist party, conducted the practice of revolutionary struggle and social construction. It is the combination of national spirit and the spirit of the age, not only containing our Chinese excellent revolutionary tradition, but also possessing the theoretical character of keeping pace with the times. Thus, it is the unification of both material carrier and spiritual kernel. Also, it is our precious wealth as well as the important educational resource of our contemporary society. With rich connotation, it is the important content of the socialist core value system integrating the firm ideal faith, noble moral sentiment and deep patriotism. Besides, it is the import resource of the education of outlook of world, life, value. It has diverse forms, which enables the educators to use multiple carrier forms and innovate the education method while implementing education. It has special functions, which plays an irreplaceable role in the contemporary university students' moral education. Under the background of new era, in such a present day when the moral education in universities is received extensive attention, how to use the red resource to construct university moral education courses, how to fully develop its educational value, and how to actively explore new content, new methods and new ways are of great significance to inherit and develop the red spirit, to ameliorate the moral education in universities, and to improve the moral education level of university students. This paper puts the university moral education curriculum and red resource as its research object, to analyse the connotation, function and the existing problems of these two, to discusses the relationship between them, and based on these, to systematically explain how to put red resources into the university moral education curriculum construction. This paper consists of three parts.Part one, concept definition and analysis. First, analyse the connotation of red resource, including its physical and spirit form, and introduce its value and characteristics. Second, explain the related concept of moral education curriculum, including three aspects:practical activity curriculum, disciplinary curriculum, and invisible curriculum.Part two, analyse the reason why universities put red resource into its moral education curriculum. This part respectively analyses the reason from two aspects, namely, its necessity and feasibility. It includes the requirements of the Times, the condition of our country's university moral education, the contemporary university students' moral condition, the situation of our country's red resource, and the role of red resource to the moral education curriculum.Part three, explain the way how universities put red resource into its moral education curriculum. This is the main part of the paper. It includes its developmental principles and specific measures two parts. Then linking theory with practice, it puts forward some practical measures, expecting to provide beneficial reference for university moral curriculum construction.In conclusion, this paper focuses on the connection between the development and utilization of red resource and university moral curriculum construction, the educational value of red resource, and has a integrated systematical research of universities' putting red resource into its moral education curriculum.
